Intertextuality is when one text references another text. Indirect, direct and accidental are the three types of intertextuality. Indirect intertextuality is when someone subtlety references another text. Direct intertextuality is when someone references another text fully and purposefully. Accidental intertextuality is when someone doesn't use intertextuality but the audience can link 2 texts together.
